Prior to joining The Law Office of Robert Eckard and Associates, Mr. Ziegler worked in the nationally recognized consumer law unit at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid where he served the legal interests of a financially sensitive client base. Mr. Ziegler represented clients in foreclosure defense cases where he implemented groundbreaking legal strategies based on TILA, RESPA, FCCPA, FDCPA, securitized trust issues, VA and FHA insured mortgage servicing issues, and the negotiability of instruments. Additionally, Mr. Ziegler represented clients in various other consumer law issues, including credit card debt collection defense, vehicle repossession deficiency defense, and a complex class action.
Mr. Ziegler graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Ziegler supplemented his academic pursuits with practical legal experience, establishing a strong foundation of legal skills. In Mr. Ziegler's second year, he worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of the Public Defender, Fourth Judicial Circuit, where he gained extensive courtroom exposure and negotiated plea bargains. Subsequently, Mr. Ziegler clerked at The Schwartz Law Group, a general practice law firm based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Because the firm practiced in numerous areas of the law, Mr. Ziegler researched and drafted legal documents on a variety of topics including family law, contract law, administrative law, and state and federal criminal law.
Mr. Ziegler completed his undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Crime, Law, and Justice. He is currently admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the Middle District of Florida. He has been a member of Toastmasters public speaking club since 2008.
